An excellent method to guarantee the disinfection of drinking water is to use as a disinfectant chlorine dioxide. Chlorine dioxide is a highly effective compound in order to eliminate all kinds of pathogenic germs and has a residual effect in the system.
Chlorine dioxide is the more efficient disinfectant against Legionella bacteria and other pathogens due to its efficacy in the removal of the biofilm where the bacterium lodges in distribution networks.

We have different equipments that are working with several reagents as material base to produce chlorine dioxide solution. These models are capable of generating chlorine dioxide through three methods of production: using diluted reagents, concentrate reagents, or chlorine gas. In equipments of reagents diluted it is used NaClO2 7’5% and HCl to 9% concentration. These equipments ensure high reliability and safety in small capacity facilities. On the other hand, in concentrated reactive equipments, the basis for the generation is NaClO2 at 25% and HCl to 33% with an excellent economic reliability-cost.
Generators through chlorine gas are using NaClO2 to 25% and chlorine gas. These equipments offers high performance generation and are perfect for integration into installations of chlorine gas.

Ratio of typical dosage is 150-2500 g/h.

Chlorine dioxide generation equipment from 750 g/h up to 10 kg/h de ClO2
System generates chlorine dioxide directly onsite according to the process based on sodium chlorite and chlorine gas.
Chlorine dioxide solution produced in the reaction tank has a concentration maximum of 3 g/l.
The equipment has a control device of simple functioning, able to display the state of operation of the equipment. At the same time the error messages are automatically stored and that can be consulted at any time.
Optionally, PROFIBUS interface allows the connectivity of the OXIPERM OCG-166 to a PLC or a process control system.
